Essay Submission
Singapore companies interested to participate in the competition are required to submit an essay describing their most impactful productivity success story in no more than 1500 words (excluding supporting documents). There is no restriction to the definition of productivity. Any measure that contributes positively to the participating company’s operational performance will be accepted.
All essays must reach us by: 15 September 2011; 23:59hrs Singapore Time.

Participants need not follow these guidelines strictly and may choose to tell their productivity story in any way that best illustrates its impact.

Companies may provide supporting documents for the essay, including pictures, testimonials from staffs, board, customers etc.. (supporting documents are not to be included in the 1500 word count)
Judging Criteria
All essays will be evaluated by a panel of nominated industry experts determined by PATA and WDA. Essays will be evaluated based on the following judging criteria:
Clear Analysis Of Productivity Issue
Creativity Of Productivity Initiative Taken
Clear Measures Of Effectiveness
Value Of Positive Impact Contributed To The Company

Rules & Regulations
This contest is open to any and all Singapore organisations in the tourism and travel industry, including, but not limited to the following industries: attractions, food and beverage, hospitality, MICE, tour operators, travel agencies etc.
More than one essay entry per company is permitted. Companies may submit as many productivity essays as they wish.
Entries must reach the organiser by the stipulated deadline, 15 September 2011. Late entries will be automatically disqualified. No exceptions will be granted
Entries must be original, in English, unpublished and unproduced, not accepted by any other publisher or producer at the time of submission. No adaptations are allowed
Submissions can be in any literary style.
Entries exceeding the word limit / stipulated length will be disqualified.
The judges’ and voting decisions made are final.
